Background
The eight nominees are Bad Bunny ("DtMF"), Sabrina Carpenter ("Manchild"), Doechii ("Anxiety"), Billie Eilish ("Wildflower"), Lady Gaga ("Abracadabra"), Kendrick Lamar & SZA ("Luther"), Chappell Roan ("The Subway"), and ROSÉ & Bruno Mars ("APT."). Kendrick Lamar leads all nominees with nine total nominations, while Lady Gaga has seven nominations.
"APT." topped charts in over 50 countries and spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, making ROSÉ the highest-charting female K-pop soloist in the U.S. and the first K-pop artist nominated for Record of the Year.
Considerations
The Grammy Awards are peer-voted by the Recording Academy's voting membership body of music makers including recording artists, songwriters, composers, producers, mixers, and engineers. The outcome depends entirely on the preferences of this voting body and cannot be predicted with certainty based on chart performance or critical reception alone.
