This is a neat hack. If I have the occasion to need similar, I will remember this. In fact in the past there was a period when this uberhack would have been useful for me.
@Slope Game From a trader's perspective, how would you suggest the community handle potential markets that speculate on your status between days 1โ20, especially if they're framed as "hypotheticals" or edge cases? Should we treat any such market as unethical until the 21-day mark, even if it's indirect?
@OliverJamie I would say to point such markets created on days 1-20 to the mods and nicely ask for them to be N/A'd. (Please ping me too!)
However, if my profile shows 21 days since the last comment or trade, then all bets are off. Make me into a death/detained market!
If I'm snatched up off the street or dead in a ditch somewhere, I think I want nothing less than a horde of mana hungry Manifolders on the hunt to solve my case, potentially rescuing me or finding my assailant. (What a news story that would be!)
Fair warning, though. I have referred some of my real life friends to Manifold. They should have more info than the average trader.
@OliverJamie Also, please be respectful to anybody I'm personally close to if this actually turns into something. I would imagine they would be processing things. I demand that everybody give them space if they ask for it.
