Market conclusion is determined by what I am actively doing in/around December of 2025. I may create similar markets for shorter timeframes.

  • Update 2025-02-10 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Fantasizing Option Clarifications:

    • If at the end of December 2025 you are actively in the process of making a video game, then you are considered to be doing rather than fantasizing.

    • If you come to fully decide that making games isn’t for you, both the fantasizing and making options would resolve as NO.

    • The resolution for the fantasizing and making options is treated as independent: you might resolve fantasizing as NO, while making could resolve as NO or N/A, based on your circumstances.

  • Update 2025-11-26 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Status update as of the comment (likely late 2025):

    • Making games: Creator states "I'm probably not making games this year" and is "certainly not using Unreal with Linux again." Mentions "Maybe GMS2, maybe next year, but I'm still unsure on that."

    • Fitness: Will resolve YES only if creator "actually get[s] a schedule in place during December for any exercise, which I will admit is unlikely."

    • Leather commissions: Plans to get some done during December

    • Call of Cthulhu adventure: Hopes to complete one in December

@creator How's life?

@Quroe School’s taking me for 3 rounds. Probably going to get some leather commissions done during December, as well as (hopefully) a Call of Cthulhu adventure. I’ll give myself a “yes” on fitness if I actually get a schedule in place during December for any exercise, which I will admit is unlikely. I’m probably not making games this year. I’m certainly not using Unreal with Linux again — that’s just a mess. Maybe GMS2, maybe next year, but I’m still unsure on that. I should probably put “writing stories” and “making YouTube content” on the market for bets.

I’ve stopped using YouTube and Spotify for music due to controversies (YouTube’s age verification BS, Spotify’s ICE ads). I’m re-reading some stuff I enjoyed. I should probably clean my room before the new year, especially since 2 sets of keys have gone missing, even if only to prove I’m not the cause. I’m trying to get back in touch with my creative side, partially to see if that helps my brain work. I’m currently trying to figure out how I can go to school abroad next year (I’m less concerned about finances than about getting my various school records gathered so I can apply). Next quarter I’ll try to be a bit more social with classmates than I was this year.

@SophiaLaird Three questions.

If you become actively repulsed by the idea of making video games, does thile fantasizing option resolve NO?

If you find yourself in the position of being in the process of making a video game but not having completed it yet, would you still be fantasizing about it? In other words, can the fantasizing option be reworded as "will I not finish making a video game by end of year?"

If you complete a video game, and then stop making video games at end of year, do the fantasizing option and the making a video game option both resolve NO? In other words, are they independant of each other?

@Quroe for 1) if for some reason I fully admit that making games isn’t for me, both questions would resolve NO

2) if I’m in the midst of making a video game at EOY, then I’m not fantasizing — I’m doing.

3) They are likely somewhat independent: if I make one and decide it isn’t for me, I’d likely resolve Fantasizing as NO, with Making as either NO or N/A.
